DQ Coffee at CAEXPO 2025: a bridge for Vietnam–China–ASEAN trade

Five days in Nanning, one clear purpose: to put Vietnamese Robusta in front of the buyers who shape trade between China and ASEAN.

Nanning — From 17 to 21 September 2025, Nanning hosted the 22nd China–ASEAN Expo — CAEXPO — a key trade event between China and ASEAN. DQ Coffee, the coffee brand of DQ Agri Import Export Joint Stock Company, was there with a clear message: Vietnamese Robusta, made into products ready for shelves across the region.

A strategic platform for regional trade

This year’s expo focused on digital intelligence, innovation and the opportunities opened by version 3.0 of the China–ASEAN Free Trade Area. Exhibition space reached nearly 160,000 m², with more than 3,200 companies from 60 countries — and, for the first time, a 10,000 m² zone dedicated to artificial intelligence.

Vietnam had its own pavilion, with agriculture among the featured sectors — a natural stage for Vietnamese coffee, and for Robusta in particular.

What DQ Coffee brought to Nanning

DQ Coffee is built on carefully selected Vietnamese Robusta. At the stand, the team presented roasted coffee, a classic 3in1 instant coffee, coffee with coconut cream and blends with hazelnut — and brewed cups for visitors, so every conversation could start with the taste.

The conversation starts with the taste — and continues with specs, samples and shipping terms.

Building on CIIE 2024

Nanning was not DQ Coffee’s first major fair in China. In November 2024 the brand took part in the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai, followed by CAFEEX Shanghai in December. Returning to China for CAEXPO reflects a steady commitment to the market and to the partners met along the way.

Why it matters for buyers

CAEXPO runs a direct B2B matchmaking system: companies can book meetings, negotiate and sign agreements on site through the expo’s online trade platform. Previous editions have brought many Vietnamese companies together with partners from China and across the region, with hundreds of projects signed.

For importers and distributors, that means less distance between first taste and first order: product, documentation and logistics can all be discussed in one place.

Looking ahead

CAEXPO continues to support Belt and Road connectivity, with growing attention to green technology, sustainable development and AI. For DQ Coffee, it is a place to widen distribution, meet long-term partners and show what Vietnamese coffee can be on the international stage.

The next stamp in our coffee’s passport could be your market.

Met us in Nanning — or missed us? We’d be glad to continue the conversation.
